Manik Sarkar, (born 1949) an Indian politician. Chief Minister of Tripura since March 1998, and Polit Bureau Member of Communist Party of India (Marxist). Has a background as a prominent leader of Students Federation of India. He is governing Tripura in a coalition called the Left Front.
